Summary of Syria Conflict: President Bashar Al-Assad has been in power since 200, took over for his father. In April 2011, inspired by the Arab Spring revolts, started staging protests all over the country. The President led a series of reforms, and issued the military to use force against the potential rebels. Many have been killed, but the protesters continue to gain momentum, staying underground and active. With the inevitable fall of Presiden Al-Assad, the Obama administration has kept close tabs on the situation, ready to step in and help organize a new government if needed.

analysis I think Syria is just another country in the line of successful revolts. It’s only a matter of time before Al-Assad is overthrown, just like the americans under the opressive King George, it can’t go on forever.
