 The Kinship Center’s mission is to provide holistic support to families who are the primary caregiver of their relative’s child or children. Culturally responsive services are provided to the caregiver and child encouraging self-empowerment and family stability.

 To see every kinship child safe and connected to family in a permanent home.

 The CENTRAL  Casey Family Programs  King County Kinship Collaboration.

 Adults age 52 years old  Child age 11 years old  Caregivers identified primarily as African America.  Primary need financial assistance.  Social and Emotional Support

 King County Kinship Navigator  We serve formal and informal kinship families.  Partner with Catholic Community Services who manages the Kinship Care Program  Financial resources to provide assistance up to $1,000 for utilities, clothes, rent and etc…  Navigational services assist with other information and referrals

 Information and Referral Information: Education and resource referrals for grandparents, relatives and kin.  Support Groups: We provide connection to support groups that may be the best fit for a family.  Case Management: We provide light case management.

 Youth Activities: currently active a drill team and drum squad for youth 4 to 18 years old. In the near future a youth support group and youth mentoring for kinship kids.  Outings, Parties and Celebrations: Everyone must have a little fun!  Family Connection Store: new to gently used clothing, shoes and household items for kinship families which can be at $1 or no cost at all.

 Workshops  Financial Literacy: creative ways of stretching the dollar.  Educational Advocacy: how to navigate the school systems.  Legal Options: what are the options as a kinship caregiver.
