Hitech EMS Ltd has available Ru-Ti-Ir, Ru-Ti-Sn and Ir-Ta Activated Titanium Anodes for Impressed Current Cathodic Protection. Shapes available include wire, ribbon, plate, solid rod, tube, mesh and canistered. Mixed metal oxides are formed on the titanium substrate through a process of thermal decomposition creating an oxide coating of the platinum group of metals. Advantages of MMO Titanium Anodes Lightweight MMO coatings demonstrate very high chemical stability even in environments with very low pH values. The coating is not affected by the generation of chlorine. Wear rate of the anode is extremely low and uniform and between 1 and 6 milligrams/ampere-year. Anode dimensions remain nearly constant during the design life of the anode. Operated at high current density e.g. 2000A/m2.
