Recent news l Meeting with INFN Commissione II referees: l Discussion on 2016 funding (Tuesday, Sep 15) : Missions, R&D on light collection and timing for the run at FNAL, readout electronics for the wire chambers. l INFN, through Commissione II, will fund all the readout electronics. l The other activities will be funded according to the needs. l Final discussion at INFN Commissione II the next 22 nd of September. l FNAL Director review: l A first meeting will take place at CERN the next 15 th and 16 th of October: agenda still to be defined and agreed. l Review dedicated to the evaluation of the available resources and their conformity with the project plans. l Cathode flattening: l Five panels already processed at CERN Main Workshop: all panels of the first module completed by end of September. Will be sent to electro-polishing during October. Re-installation in November. l PMTs procurement: l 20 units pre-series will be delivered during the week of the 20 th of September. l Offers for the PMTs mechanics arrived, the procedure for the procurement closes on September 16. Recent news l PMTs tests and installation: l Location in Ideasquare (Dark room) almost complete: should be ready for operation by the arrival of the pre-series units. l Area in B182 for cold tests is ready: shared operation with WA105, should be available for PMTs tests at the beginning of October. l Evaporator being re-installed in B169. Cleaning of the components will be done at Prevessin site. l Detector re-cabling: l Pre-series units of the decoupling PCBs will be delivered at the beginning of next week (September 21 st or 22 nd ). l Components and connectors for pre-series have been ordered. l Assembly of the pre-series and cold tests by the third week of October. l Full production by end of l A first sample of the new cables is being delivered for tests in LAr. l Full production of cables by end of Slide: 3 technical working group meeting, September 16, 2015
Recent news l Cold vessels procurement and assembly: l Extruded components are being produced; 10 panels (stiffening frames) already delivered to CERN together with 2 angular pieces of the stiffening frames. Tests on chamfering and welding started at the main workshop. l Final offers for the end caps will arrive by end of this week. l Assembly scheme and tooling finally defined, which includes cold vessels rotation to allow for all horizontal welding (see Marzio talk).
