The Overload Principle I can use the overload principle in my morning runs easily. I will start with a mile, which will be a challenge for me, and then increase my mileage as the run becomes easier. With this principle, I my cardiovascular endurance will strengthen and by the end of the summer I should have an increase in what my lungs can handle. The overload principle will be a good challenge for me because I love to push myself and having this opportunity I will take full advantage of it. Even if I don’t reach my goal, I will still gain strength and I will be proud of myself.
