Major Activities proposed for quality improvement in Elementary Education Implementing RTE and strengthening teaching learning process

TRAININGS Orientation on new Text Books, RTE and CCE to 4427 Primary teachers and 3703 Upper Primary teachers Orientation on organizing school complex meeting and Monitoring to 489 Chairman and Secretaries. Orientation to UP teachers on MEENA Radio Programme Orientation to MEOs & MRPs on School Readiness Programme Extension Academic support wit h continuous and remedial sessions through school complex meetings to build up teacher capacity

LEP ( LEARNING ENHANCEMENT PROGRAMME ) CHANGE IN THE CLASS ROOM PROCESS SETTINIG UP OF ACADEMIC STANDERDS ADOPTING NEW EVALUATION PROCEDURE (CCE) APRAISEL OF PERFORMENCE COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION (SMC )

LEP (LEARNING ENHANCEMENT PROGRAMME) LEP is implemented in all Schools in the District to active academic standards Developed the Monitoring formats and performance indicators, School grading formats so as to asses the status of teaching learning process and to find remedies for further improvement Teaching learning process is further strengthened with Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation

MONITORING  Constitute the District Monitoring Teams with DIET Lecturers and sectorial officers  Every District Team member adopted 4 Mandals each for monitoring and to extend support  Mandal level Monitoring teams constituted with School Complex HMs, MEOs, and MRPs and adopted schools  DIET Principal and Dy.EOs are provided with Vehicles to ensure effective monitoring  Periodical review meetings are being held at all levels for follow up activity  School management committee meetings are being conducted duly focusing on attendance of children and teachers, child academic performance, MDM and utilization of Grants

SCHOOL GRANTS  1753 Primary Schools, 260 UP Schools, 465 High Schools (UP Sections ) are provided with school Rs5000, 12000/- and 7000/- respectively  MAINTENECE GRANTS ……… Schools are provided with Rs. 5000, and ………. Schools are provided with Rs.10,000.  TEACHERS GRANT Teachers grant 500/- per teacher.  SCHOOL COMPLEX GRANTS 229 School Complexes are provided with Rs.27,000 each  MRC GRANTS All the 36 MRCs are released Rs. 1,00,000

CAL (Computer Aided Learning) Computer aided learning is being implemented in 103 Schools. All the CAL schools are provided with 5 computers All the CAL school teachers are being given computer training. Software is also provided for computer aided instructions

ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES PLANNED IN VIEW OF “RTE” Act Child Centered Pedagogy – Constructivism, discovery approach, exploration, optimum utilization of learning time.  Adoption of new evaluative procedures on the lines of CCE. Assessment of performance levels of individuals and institutions Conduct of School Management Committees meetings. Implementation of Read Programme

Setting up of Class wise libraries in the schools Establishing Reading cells at School complex level, MRC level and strengthening of Reading Cell at DIET level. Development of children magazines at District level, School level and at MRC level. Implementation of identified School activities, innovative activities and children talent search activities in the schools.

Constitution of subject forums at various levels viz. State level, District level and at mandal level. Depiction of Child Rights on school walls and perception of children on school “Maa Manchi Badi’. Putting of suggestion box in every school, and opening of box in SMC meeting. Enlisting the participation of SMC members in school developmental activities
