COLD WAR TIMELINE  THE COLD WAR IS ABOUT A NUCLEAR WEAPONS ARMS RACE SO LETS BEGIN AT: AUGUST 1945 THE UNITED STATES DROPS FIRST NUCLEAR WEAPON ON JAPAN.  WORLD WAR 2 ENDS WHEN JAPAN SIGNS PEACE TREATY IN SEPTEMBER OF 1945

COLD WAR TIMELINE  United Nations Atomic Energy Commission plans to ban all weapons of mass destruction in January of  President Executive Order #9981 July  Berlin Blockade is first test of the Cold War as American planes send supplies to West Berliners in June 1948 to May  NATO is organized to fight back any aggressive nations who are planning to develop &/or use nuclear weapons in April of  The Soviets test their first nuclear weapon in August of 1949.
