Famous French Monuments In Paris In Paris

Eiffel Tower The Eiffel Tower was built in Paris in It was built to commemorate the 100 th anniversary of the French Revolution. It took 300 steelworkers 2 years to complete. You have to climb 1652 steps to reach the top. It is 300 metres high and weighs 7000 tons.

La Louvre La Louvre is a famous museum in Paris. One of it’s most famous treasures is the Mona Lisa, painted by Leonardo da Vinci between There are also many famous sculptures including the Venus de Milo.

Arc de Triomphe The Arc de Triomphe was finished in 1836, it was commissioned by Napoleon. Famous French victories are engraved at the top of the Arc. Underneath the Arc is the tomb of the unknown soldier where wreaths are placed on Armistice Day each year.
