Ball-E by Lee Tsakh EEL5666C Fall 2011 Oral Presentation 1

Operation 1.Launch tennis ball(s) until it runs out. 2.Find all the tennis balls it has launched. 3.Collect them. 4.Return back to its starting position and do it repeat the process.

Sensors CMUcam to find tennis balls and center on them. Sonar to determine the distance to the tennis balls. IR to provide basic obstacle avoidance.

Actuation and Platform High RPM wheel to launch tennis balls from a tube. Archimedes’ Screw to move tennis balls into the tube. Combine to move tennis balls into the Archimedes’ Screw. Two wheels and a caster for movement.
