Journal of Transport and Land Use Presented at Current & Future Publishing Practices December 2, 2010, Anderson Library David Levinson

What is your journal's greatest challenge? $

What is your journal's second greatest challenge? Good content

What rights do you give your authors? (e.g. ability to create derivative works, post or distribute pre/post-print, archive in the University Digital Conservatory or a subject repository)University Digital Conservatory All contents licensed under Creative Commons by-nc nc/3.0/ Creative Commons by-nc 3.

At what point after publication is most of your journal's content made available free of charge to the public? Immediately

How important are library subscriptions to your journal's revenue flow? It’s free

What predictions can you forecast about future publishing practices of your journal? We want JTLU to be both free to submit and free to read, but the latter is more important. If the publishing culture moves toward submission or publication charges, we can go in that direction, but presently other journals in our field are free to submit, so no incentive to pay for submission.

JTLU is Gold "Green OA" is provided by authors publishing in any journal and then self-archiving their postprints in their institutional repository or on some other OA website.Green OA journal publishers endorse immediate OA self-archiving by their authors. self-archivingpostprintsinstitutional repository "Gold OA" is provided by authors publishing in an open access journal that provides immediate OA to all of its articles on the publisher's website.open access journal Source: Wikipedia
