HVO’s Mission Health Volunteers Overseas is dedicated to improving the availability and quality of health care through the education, training and professional development of the health workforce in resource-scarce countries.

HVO will be recognized as a global leader in the design and implementation of capacity- building projects that strengthen and empower the global health workforce. HVO’s Vision

10,235 volunteer assignments completed since 1986  In 2015, volunteers completed 514 assignments in 2014, contributing a total of 7,074 days of volunteer service.  Volunteers reported providing clinical and didactic training to approximately 3,600 people in the course of the year. 17 program areas that encompass dozens of health care specialties and address numerous global health challenges $86.4 million in professional services donated by our volunteers since 1986 HVO – A Snapshot * *As of December 31, 2014
