Leading – Essentials The New Testament definition of leadership includes three essential features that remain constant for all ministries. Leadership is: servant ministry, based on spiritual gifts always plural.

Leading – Essentials Leaders are the stewards/shepherds of mission If this is not primary for your leaders then either your mission isn't correct or there is a problem with priorities

Leading – Principles Spiritual leaders model a community that leads together Create environments that foster transformation Biblical leadership is team leadership ◦ Parts of the body ◦ Spiritual gifts ◦ A cord of three strands (not easily broken)

Leading In Covenant Healthy leadership is not possible without Relationship.

Leading In Covenant Armed with a Ministry Action Plan that gives clear and simple definition of what to do and where the community is headed, the next step is to develop great connections between the parts of the body. By clarifying how we relate to each other and giving clear pathways for communication, we can help each other deal with the conflicts that are preventing effectiveness. Clear connections also increase an organizations ability to have alignment between people, teams and strategies
