Direct reporting to the highest Authority Improve internal/ external communication of strategies, HSE performance, financial and projects status. Conduct and join community related researches aiming to arrive to solutions the some of the community standing issues. Conduct public campaigns to improve public participation in clean environment activities “recycling, greenery, clean beaches …etc” the same can go to safety and health. regularly communicate its image within the industry by: Keeping the press informed Participating in trade associations & councils Becoming spokespersons for industry needs and goals Promoting for the overall good of the industry 2Minimising the external influences (eg parliament) 3 A renewed approach at the oil sector social responsibility 4 Enhanced communication through local media to educate the public on the nature of work/risk faced by the oil sector employee & level of contribution of the local economy & development 5 Leadership alignment and the concept of one-team 6 Improve the communication of HSE risks controls to the public “fire/ explosions, and the environmental ”. 5

B) Protocol for Attending External Events The main objectives for these events are −personal knowledge enhancement, −to be up to date with the latest technologies, −building knowledge data base, −sharing of knowledge with others, −finding solutions to problems faced, −finding opportunities for improvement, −comparison with peers, −making K companies presence felt, −enhancing the reputation of the organisation, −Personal recognition in the industry etc. 6

B) Protocol for Attending External Events A team or group of right people should attend main regional/international conferences. Participation at appropriate level/experience is a must. Attendance will be as a delegation rather than individual, with some pre-conference work done to gather a list of focus areas that could be used as the objective for attending (sort of hunting purpose to cover hot topics or problem areas). Conference with multiple subjects of interest and multiple parallel sessions running in different halls, it should be ensured that adequate number of right people are deputed to attend the conference, each assigned to the specific topic. Utilize the event/breaks to establish business networks Practice the art of business conversation : knowing what to say & when to say it, know when to listen, not to interrupt and the ability to draw others into the discussion. 7

K-companies should target presenting at least one paper in every such annual regional conference. Participants should adhere to formal business attire, use company stationary bearing company logo and wear company pin A set of technical presentations is to be kept ready - these could be on best practices, unique experiences, knowledge sharing…etc.. Papers to be presented should be quality checked by appropriate authorities or committee prior to presenting Intellectual property / confidentiality is to be observed on sensitive / propriety information B) Protocol for Attending External Events 8 Participants must share their learning upon return from the conference highlighting the usefulness of the knowledge gathered and any ideas that could be applied.

Recommendations A) Image Enhancement through local media & social media Put in place a social media policy Apply the proposed solutions shown on slide 4 B) Protocol for attending external events Proposed mandatory basic and advanced presentation skills training Reference booklet to be provided on the basic K-company information to expand knowledge (eg strategy, mission & vision, etc.) Adhere to formal business attire and general business etiquette rules (details developed by Team 5) Ensure the delegation has set clear objectives of attending the event and share their learning upon return If presenting a paper, ensure the paper is screened for quality/content and confidentiality Develop a standard detailed template and detailed presentation guideline booklet to ensure the formal presentations are consistently the same 9
