Week 22

Bell 1 and 2 What is something that you did this weekend that involved math? Name three ways to determine if a function is linear.

Bell 1 and 2 You have a quiz today You can use your notebook Get out a clean piece of paper Log on to school net We will talk about homework after the quiz.

Bell 1 and 2 Without using graph paper find the slope between the following points (3,2) (4,8) (-9,5) (-4,9) (0,0) (-1,-2) Make sure that you have turned in your slope hw from Monday.

Bell 1 and 2 A ladder is leaned up against a house. The length of the ladder is 10 and the top of the ladder touches the house at 8 feet from the ground. How far away is the base of the ladder from the house. (draw a picture/pythagorean theorem.) Get out your homework from last night and make sure that it is complete.

Bell 1 and 2 Please turn your warm-up into the turn in tray. Hold onto the tucan picture unless you have already turned it in.

Bell 3 Tomorrow we will have a quiz on polynomial operations and factoring. Possibly a test at the end of the week or beginning of next week. Take out your homework from the weekend and make sure that it is complete. (4-15)

Bell 3 You have a quiz today. You can use your notebook. We will talk about homework after the quiz. You need a clean sheet of paper out

Bell 3 Define greatest common factor Does a greatest common factor always have to be a number? Write and expression for the area. 2x-4

Bell 3 Write the rule for the following sequences and are they arithmetic or geometric? 2,4,6,8,10… 4,16,64… 2,6,18,…

Bell 3 Write the rule for the following sequences 3,6,9,12… 3,9,27,81…. 5,10,15,20…

Bell 4 Name something you did this weekend that involved math. Jimmy is buying a car. The car is $ and his payments are 250 a month. Judy is buying a car and the chart below shows her payment plan. Give the rate of change and initial value for each

Bell 4 Make sure that your diagrams are complete You need 1 fact about graphs for each 1 fact about tables for each 2 facts about equations for each An example of a graph, table, and equation for each.

Bell 4 Write down 4 facts that you remember about slope. You can use your notebook

Bell 4 Take out a sheet of notebook paper No warm-up today Have your notebook on your desk and make sure that your example cards are completed and glued in on page 21

Bell 4 Take out your warmup. Create a table of values for the following equations. Y=5x+2 2x+y=10
