WHY SHOULD WE RECYCLE You should recycle because this is were your rubbish goes. If you don’t recycle it will cause people to throw away 31 million tons of rubbish a year This is a land fill If you put just one thing that cannot be recycled into the recycling bin it can prevent a whole lot from being recycled.

Glass is often separated into colours because after it has gone through the process of being recycled it stays the same colour You can make things out of rubbish like models and even toys Up to 60% of the rubbish that ends up in the dustbin could have been recycled The largest lake in Britain could be filled with rubbish from the UK in 8 months 1 recycled tin can would save enough energy to power a television for 3 hours 1 recycled glass bottle would save enough energy to power a computer for 25 minutes Pencils can be made from money like this one: Fleece jackets are made from 25 pop bottles
