The Art of Hieroglyphics

History HIEROGLYPHS are pictures that were used to write the ancient Egyptian Language Egyptians believed that God “Thoth” discovered hieroglyphics..Hieroglyphics came from “Hiero” meaning holy and “Glyphic” meaning inscriptions. Archaeologists discovered beautiful hieroglyphic writing on the walls of ancient Egyptian pyramids and tombs. language

The Alphabet Hieroglyphics “Alphabet” had 24 “letters” +700 phonetic symbols. Each Symbol represented a thing and a letter

How to Read Hieroglyphic writing It was written in rows or columns _ It was read from left to right or from right to left. _ It was read from top to bottom. _Human or animal figures always face towards the beginning of the line.
