2 −Alignment on RETAC’s charter −Understand emerging technology needs from across the region −Gain visibility of resources that could support our goals −Approve a work group to develop work plan options that Meet regional need for ET tracking and coordination Include technology (product) readiness, market readiness, and program readiness factors Leverage extra-regional and national efforts and resources Includes updated charter language to address increased scope of RETAC. Clarify the connection with RPAC and utility programs.

3 RETAC Charter PurposeGoals −Advise NEEA on emerging technology priorities to meet business plan goals. −Provide regional visibility, advice on resource allocation and feedback on highest priority technologies. 1.Oversee development and maintenance of a prioritized portfolio of emerging technologies to help the region meet its EE goals. 2.Provide a forum for information exchange 3.Share experiences and advice on how the region can best work together to leverage resources to increase ET adoption. 4.Communicate to your organizations NEEA’s ET activities and strategies

7 Readiness Framework −Product (Technology) Readiness An opportunity with demonstrated energy savings, performance that is equal to or better than it is replacing, and end user satisfaction with the performance. −Market Readiness The market is prepared to manufacture, distribute, sell, install, and maintain the product, and there is a clear differentiation between good and bad product. −Program Readiness The product meets regulatory cost effectiveness requirements, and program activities have been shown effective at increasing adoption of the product.
