Housing Project

ASSIGNMENT: 1. You and your partner are to choose housing which you feel will best fit your budget and “family” situation. 2.Read and complete the “Your Housing Priorities” form to help you decide which type of housing to seek information on. 3.You and your partner are to create a PowerPoint presentation to display the housing scenario, which you selected. The presentations will be put onto a web site.

The presentation should include the following information: Picture of the houseCost of the house Square footageDown Payment Size / Total AcreageClosing Costs Number of bedrooms/bathrooms Lending Institution and interest rate (30-year fixed rate mortgage) Other roomsMonthly house payment Features/FacilitiesAnnual taxes and insurance

4.Create a monthly budget for all expenses. The following expenses should be considered for the budget: Fixed Expenses: Housing/Utilities, Telephone, Transportation, Credit/Student Loan, Savings Variable Expenses: Clothing/Personal Care, Food, Household Supplies, Medicine/Health Supplies, Entertainment

5. Include a list of resources used for the presentation. Websites, books, palm pilots, ect. are excellent for research. REQUIREMENTS: You will use technology such as Palm Pilots, DVD recorders, Camcorders, Cameras, ect. to complete the assignment. It must be in a form that is electronically accessible to our website.
