April 2016 Responsibility
RESPONSIBILITY In April we will be exploring the value of:
RESPONSIBILITY Taking care of your duties Answering for your actions Being trusted by others
What does a RESPONSIBLE person do?
Complete their jobs without being asked or reminded all the time Take good care of their possessions
Leave things how they found them Do the right thing and apologise if wrong Put things back properly
Be on time Complete homework on time Keep promises
Why should I be responsible? What could happen if I am not responsible?
Do you understand the CONSEQUENCES of your actions?
Something to think about… The different kinds of responsibilities we have… Moral Responsibility Moral Responsibility (to other people, animals and the Earth) Legal Responsibility Legal Responsibility (to the laws of the land) Family Responsibility Family Responsibility (to your parents and other family members) Community Responsibility Community Responsibility (to your local community) Responsibility to Customs, Traditions, Beliefs and Rules Personal Responsibility Personal Responsibility (to yourself!)
As we reflect, think about how RESPONSIBILITY makes the world a better place to be.
A quiet moment of prayer or reflection... RESPONSIBILITY
Here in our school Let us be peaceful at all times. Let our rooms be full of happiness And respect for each other. Let love be in our hearts With kindness and compassion for all. Let us remember In learning together, We grow together And succeed together. A prayer for all of us
Would the world be a better place if people took more responsibility ? How could they do that? How could YOU do that?
What stops people taking responsibility? What would help YOU to take more responsibility? How do you think it would make you feel?
