ONE & DONE  Goal of 100% PARTICIPATION – any amount you can contribute helps!  We have raised $18,075 – we are almost DONE!  With One & Done we hope to eliminate additional fundraising efforts!  EMPLOYEE MATCHING PROGRAMS

ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS  After School Academies: 287 students enrolled (AMAZING!!!)  Elise and Courtney started planning winter academies  Parent volunteer wanted to conduct survey – contact Jenny Wormser  Chess Club: 52 students enrolled  Thank you to Cara Cline Thomas for helping launch program  Late registrations still being accepted  Musical Theater Club: 40 students enrolled  Odyssey of the Mind: 100 students enrolled

STEM SATURDAY

EACH BOX TOP SHEET COLLECTED EARNS $1 FOR OUR SCHOOL – START CLIPPING! Box Top Face Off--Win a Special Halloween Treat! We are keeping a tally of the number of sheets submitted by each classroom between October 14th and October 29th, The classroom that submits the most sheets will win a special Halloween themed treat. So start clipping and send in those sheets!!

 We have recently joined the fundraising program offered by Shutterfly.  Please ( and shop at Shutterfly, Tiny Prints, or one of their related brands (Treat, This Life, Wedding Paper Divas, and Borrowlenses) by clicking the link on the KG PTA website.  13 % of your purchase will be donated to our school!

POP CORN CLUB  Our first POP was a success!  You can still register online ($10 per student):  Our second pop is Friday, November 6th  We always need extra help popping, bagging and delivering this very popular program! If you have even just an hour to spare, we could use your help! Just show up at the cafeteria the first Friday of the month between 8:30am and 10:00am, and we will put you to work! FRENCH VIDEO CLUB  The French Video Club is adding new movies to our library – swing by every Friday and check out the great selection!  New Titles: ParaNorman, Soul Surfer, The Little Rascals(2015), Night at the Museum, Matilda, and Mr. Popper's Penguins.

MONSTER BOOK FAIR  Contact Mrs. Hershey to volunteer  KG was selected was selected at a “SCHOLASTIC PREMIER BOOK FAIR”  We are 1 of 10 schools in FCPS selected  Better Selection of Books  Top priority for restocking

NATIONAL WALK-TO-SCHOOL DAY  Thank you to Leslie Turley, Gayle Carter, and Karen Salmonetti  We are still number one on the leaderboard for Fire Up Your Feet!  Deadline is 10/31 and we are still logging students daily!

FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT  Thank you to Lauren Braccia and her committee for organizing an amazing night!  Thank you to all the families that joined us for a fun filled evening!

HELP WANTED  Treats for Troops  We are trying to find another avenue to distribute candy, books and toiletries to military abroad.
