How scores were determined… After tests were given, student raw scores were obtained. From the raw scores, the LDOE created a “distribution” of scores (a grading curve) to determine the raw score ranges in each band.

How did our school do?

Yearly Each teacher looks at scores from previous year to determine areas that need to be strengthened. Each teacher plans a yearly course of teaching based on LPSS Curriculum maps and pacing guides The whole school examines strengths and weaknesses based on prior performance by students and develops an “Improvement Plan” to address weaknesses and ensure continued successes. The school develops an “SBLC” schedule and creates times to meet to identify and discuss students needing extra support. The school hires tutors that work with students needing extra support. Our Circle of Control

Quarterly Grade levels meet with administration team to discuss quarterly assessments and plan for remediation. Grade levels compare their individual scores to that of the school and the district. Grade levels assess where they are on the LPSS Curriculum maps and adjust instruction as necessary. Teachers collaborate on successes and areas needing support. Our Circle of Control

Weekly Teachers plan effective lessons based on common core standards and following the LPSS curriculum guides. Teachers collaborate on successes and areas needing support in weekly curriculum meetings with administrative team. Our Circle of Control

Daily Teachers plan for remediation of students who are currently struggling. This remediation is done during the “French” time each day. Teachers adjust instruction as needed based on class results on assessments. Teachers communicate with parents via weekly agendas, weekly graded papers, progress reports, and oral/written contact as needed. Our Circle of Control
