Inspiration Following the guidelines of the 24 th General Chapter “Men in Fire with Love” (61.7), we want to continue reflecting as a congregation on the issues of JPIC-Human Rights (JPIC) (MFL 58.3a) through a thematic meeting (MFL 61.5). The reflection, which starts from concrete and significant Claretian experiences, will aim to define the congregational activity in this area for the coming years.

Mission Procures in the Directory Mission procures are to be organised in the Congregation and the Provinces and Independent Delegations with the following objectives: a. to raise mission consciousness and a sense of availability among all the members of the Province b. to promote prayers for missions and to provide up-to-date information concerning their plans, problems and achievements; e. to be in a close relationship and coordination with the Secretariat of Justice, Peace and the Integrity of Creation (JPIC). d. to promote financial assistance by creating funds and by presenting projects in the name of the Congregation and other institutions.156 c. to animate Christian communities for missions and promote participation of lay missionaries, especially those born and raised in the mission region, in our work; also, to serve as a liaison between the missions and communities that are preparing lay persons for assignments in mission territories 155

1.3. The Structure of the Prefecture of Apostolate Major Superiors & General Government Meeting. Colmenar Viejo 2010 In order to fulfil its responsibilities the General Prefecture of Apostolate has, a Prefect Consulter and five secretariats: Vocation Ministry, JPIC (Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation), Mission Procure, Biblical Ministry and TIC (Technologies for Information and Communication). The first three have been functioning during previous years but the last two are newly created. The Prefecture is, in conjunction with the Prefects of Apostolate and in the groups formed by every conference, the place most adequate for dialogue, coordination, programming and the achievement of the congregation’s projects. In the midst of these groups the Prefecture will complete the practical expression of the principles and congregational objectives and it will be able to respond more adequately to the needs and proposals of each part of the Congregation. For a better congregational co-ordination each conference will have a coordinator of the Prefects of Apostolate. It will be attempted, at least, in the level corresponding to the conferences, to have Co-ordinators corresponding to each of the secretariats of the General Prefecture (PV, JPIC, Mission Procure, Biblical Ministry,TIC).
