What's a Pronoun? pronoun: a word that takes the place of a noun Example: pron. John likes bunnies, and he also enjoys kickboxing.
What's an Antecedent? antecedent: the noun a pronoun takes the place of Example: ant. pron. John likes bunnies, and he also enjoys ------- kickboxing.

Practice Finding Pronouns and Antecedents Underline the pronoun (p) once and the antecedent (a) twice. Then draw an arrow from the p to the a with the arrow pointing at the a. Example: Though summer had seemed long, the autumn had finally come, and it turned the grass from green to a dull, dead brown. Answer = It is the pronoun. Autumn is the antecedent
