Which food item will produce a larger electrical current, a potato or a lemon? If I test it both without and with a dime and a penny inserted in opposite sides of the item?

Hypothesis I believe that the lemon which has an “electrifying” flavor augmented by the coins will produce the largest electrical current/ I believe that the lemon which has an “electrifying” flavor augmented by the coins will produce the largest electrical current/

Research Originally, I wasn’t even going to use coins. Originally, I wasn’t even going to use coins. The position of the coins and the multimeter prods effects the voltage read. The position of the coins and the multimeter prods effects the voltage read. Four potatoes have the ability to power a digital clock Four potatoes have the ability to power a digital clock Likewise four lemons can power a digital clock as well. Likewise four lemons can power a digital clock as well. The penny and the dime reacts with the electricity in the food. The penny and the dime reacts with the electricity in the food.

Materials Potato Potato Lemon Lemon 2 pennies 2 pennies 2 dimes 2 dimes Multimeter (with prods included) Multimeter (with prods included) Knife Knife

Procedure 1. lay all materials on a counter in an organized fashion. 1. lay all materials on a counter in an organized fashion. 2. using knife make small 1 inch incisions on opposite areas of the potato. 2. using knife make small 1 inch incisions on opposite areas of the potato. 3. insert penny and dime 3. insert penny and dime 4. insert multimeter prods on the opposite sides of potato 4. insert multimeter prods on the opposite sides of potato 5. record observations 5. record observations 6. repeat steps 2-5 on the lemon 6. repeat steps 2-5 on the lemon 7. compare results. 7. compare results.

Variables My variables were the potato and the lemon and also the coins that were or were not being inserted in the food. My variables were the potato and the lemon and also the coins that were or were not being inserted in the food.

Observations Potato without coins created.052 volts Potato without coins created.052 volts Potato with coins created.141 volts Potato with coins created.141 volts Lemon without coins created.048 volts Lemon without coins created.048 volts Lemon with coins created.028 volts Lemon with coins created.028 volts

Data Clearly you can see that the potato with coins did the best and my data is more clearly illustrated by this graph Clearly you can see that the potato with coins did the best and my data is more clearly illustrated by this graph

Analysis Clearly you can see that in comparison with the others the potato with coins did considerably better than the rest of the variables. Clearly you can see that in comparison with the others the potato with coins did considerably better than the rest of the variables.

Conclusion In conclusion you can see that the experiment was a total success and I got reliable results because I triple checked my work so the potato with coins was the best electrical producer.
