The Australian Foundation for the Peoples of Asia & the Pacific (AFAP) Headquarters in Sydney, Australia The first Australian NGO to be established in Vietnam Programme areas include: Livelihoods & food security Climate change & environment Governance & institutional strengthening Health, water & sanitation Education & social inclusion

AFAP works directly or through implementing partners in 21 countries…

…and in Vietnam has implemented projects in 24 provinces. Currently, projects are being implemented in: Hanoi Hung Yen Ha Nam Hoa Binh Dien Bien Ha Tinh Quan Tri Can Tho Soc Trang Ken Giang

Livelihoods and resilience building on the Mekong Delta Working in partnership with local government, mass organizations, and technical experts from the DRAGON Institute, Can Tho University. Conducting vulnerability assessments, piloting pro-poor technologies and livelihood improvement models, and working with local government to integrate climate change adaptation into socioeconomic development planning (SEDP). Undertaking climate change awareness activities and Training of Trainer workshops to build local adaptive capacity and resilience.
