Role of the DAC The role of the DAC is to support evaluation and planning efforts for all agencies that serve young children and their families. We do this by developing databases for capturing and managing program- and/or agency-level data; compiling and preparing reports; engaging in data analysis to identify trends, patterns and service gaps; and advising and supporting the development of effective tracking mechanisms and evaluation tools to measure the impact of agency activities and programs.
