We now have 22 girls living in this home. 5 girls have testified in court so far. We have got convictions on three cases (7-10 years)

Some of the issues are behaviour problems, difficulty in adjusting with others, anger issues and acting out. Counselors provide supportive and cognitive therapy along with behavior modification. We avail the services of a consultant psychiatrist as and when required.

A New Initiative With some of our girls becoming 18, it became urgent to find a place for them. This lead to a new initiative to set up a transition home. We now have 6 girls living there. The focus is on vocational training and job placements. This place is available to them for 2 years. By which time we hope to place them in jobs that will help them be independent.
