WHAT IS SCHIZOPHRENIA? According to Webmd.com schizophrenia is a serious brain disorder that distorts the way a person thinks, acts, expresses emotions, perceives reality, and relates to others. Schizophrenia is a type of mental illness where a person cannot tell what is real from what is imagined. People with this disorder may hear voices other people don't hear. They may believe other people are reading their minds, controlling their thoughts, or plotting to harm them. This can terrify people with the illness and it makes them withdrawn or extremely agitated. Most chronic and disabling of the major mental illnesses.

INFO. People with schizophrenia often have a hard time functioning in society. They can seem perfectly fine until they start talking to someone about what they are really thinking. Those with this disorder have a hard time taking care of themselves and keeping a job. This not only affects them but their family as well.
