Federated Cloud: Computing UPVLC-I3M Effort allocated: 6 pms. Proposal: Integration of an Infrastructure Broker with self-configuration and auto-scaling in EGI Federated Cloud. Objectives Facilitate the deployment of multiple-instance Virtual Appliance, specially those relying on batch queues.

Federated Cloud: Computing UPVLC-I3M IM COMPaaS EC3 VMCA VMRC CLUES A SLA management framework for IaaS. A Virtual Machine Consolidation Agent dons.php An energy management system for Clusters and Cloud infrastructures. Automatic configuration and recontextualization service. Creation of elastic virtual clusters on top of both public and on-premise IaaS providers github.com/grycap/ec3 A rich metadata repository of Virtual Machine Images.

Federated Cloud: Computing UPVLC-I3M Tasks & Interactions Progress on the interoperability of IM/EC3 with FedCloud Currently already supports rOCCI, evolve as components evolve. Need to cooperate with CESNET and IFCA (OSTACK). Discuss the integration of configuration recipes in appDB. Need to cooperate with GRNET. Create and maintain a set of plain images of EC3 for supporting scalable queues in Fed Cloud. Support further extensions of networks of OCCI 1.2.

Federated Cloud: Data UPVLC-I3M Effort allocated: 1 pm. Proposal: Integration of disk volumes as part of the contextualization of FedCloud Virtual Appliances. Objectives: Support mounting disks with POSIX access containing relevant data – Requirement for most Bioinformatic tools. Tasks & interactions Provide the extension in the configuration process. Provide and register disk volumes with relevant data.

Federated Cloud: LifeWatch UPVLC-I3M Effort allocated: 11 pms. Proposal: Integration of scalable workflows for biocomputing processing in heterogeneous infrastructures. Objectives Provide a back-end and a specification for describing workflows in combination with the configuration for platform-agnostic deployments.

Federated Cloud: LifeWatch UPVLC-I3M Tasks & interactions Basic case: Galaxy pipelines in the cloud Cooperation with INRA for the execution of scalable processing pipelines in a cloud infrastructure. On-going activity. Complex case: Deployment of scalable complex workflows A framework for describing logical workflows with automatic compilation into physical workflows has been developed ( General-purpose, accepts a JSON specification and deploys through IM (including EGI Federated Cloud). Need collaboration with the rest of the partners in the DCC.
