Do you like photography? Would you like to see your photograph published online and in print next year? Take part in this competition for the chance to be selected as the Global Campus Photographer of the Year. 2 June 2016 | GC Photographer of the Year- student presentation

 You have been speaking with teachers, sent us s, told us your ideas in surveys, and many of you have asked for the return of the photography competition  We are excited to share that this summer challenge has returned!  This year, you were asked to vote online for a theme of your choice…and you voted for: nature Introducing the 2016/17 GC Photographer of the Year It’s back!

June 2016 | GC Photographer of the Year- student presentation  First go to the GC online to check out the rules to make sure you understand what kind of photograph you need to take  Have a think about the theme (nature) and explore some ideas you might have about how you can express this theme in a photograph  Remember nature can include landscape photography, wildlife, things from the natural world – it’s up to you!  Have a look online at some photos for inspiration and ideas – or look on the GC online.  Take your camera and head outside to take some practice shots.  You can share your practice shots on the GC online on a Padlet, or you can record what you like/didn’t like about your practice shots on a piece of paper – this will help you improve for next time and think about what you would like to differently  Keep practicing until you take the photograph that you would like to enter for the competition. What do I have to do? You can enter a photograph that you have taken at home, at school, on vacation, in your city…the possibilities are endless!

June 2016 | GC Photographer of the Year- student presentation  By taking part in this competition you will learn to:  Develop your creativity  Explore new ideas  Record your observations and ideas  Analyze your own work, and think about what you could do differently to make a stronger image  Practice using your camera and have lots of fun! What will I learn? Photography is a great way to express what you see around you.

June 2016 | GC Photographer of the Year- student presentation  Anyone can take part in this competition, but you must be enrolled to attend a Nord Anglia Education school in September 2016 to take part and submit an entry.  Any age can enter (including younger students under 8 years old).  Your entry must be your own work, so it must be a photograph that you have taken by yourself.  You must submit your entry on GC online by the deadline to be included for judging (information on how to submit your entry will be added to the GC online competition area when the competition opens).  There are prizes available! Visit the GC online competitions area to see what you could win!  The winners will be chosen by the judge and published online and in print around all 42 schools in November Some important things to know… The competition opens on Monday 20 th June, and closes on Monday 19 th September 2016.
