Is one learning style better than the others? Each of us has a favored learning style, that doesn’t mean we can’t learn any other way. It just means that we prefer to learn in this way. And more importantly, no one way is best. What is best is how you personally learn.

LASSI Provides standardized scores for ten different scales -percentile score equivalents -national norms Does not give a total score since this is a diagnostic measure.

Case Study

Case Study Group Exercise You have 10 minutes to brainstorm with your group and will use the PM to do so. Discuss possible answers to the case study questions. Each team will have a chair assigned to present their groups’ answers I will assign the teams so listen closely. There is no right or wrong answers. This activity is for you to interact with your classmates and learn from each other.

Case Study Jayden liked school but always got in trouble for getting up and moving around in his high school class. He would tap his pencil on the desk when he was reading, and when doing his assignments at home he liked to walk around. He didn't like to follow instructions on assignments but preferred to just get started and do the work. This caused some problems for him because he sometimes missed important parts of the assignments. Jayden is now taking classes online. He wants to get his degree and earn more money.

Case Study What suggestions would you give to Jayden so that he is successful in his online classes? What is Jayden’s preferred learning style? How can he use his learning style to help him get the most of his education?

Discussion this week Learning Styles What did you find out about your learning style from the results of the Unit 3 Learning Style quiz? Does this seem logical to you? How can you use this information to ensure your success in school? How might this information help you in the workplace?

DISCUSSION Check –Did you answer the question? -It is not uncommon for students to get a little off-track and forget to answer the question asked. Make sure this does not happen to you as it can affect your grade. Suggestion: Type it in Microsoft Word -This gives you time to think it through and to correct errors in spelling and/or grammar, which also can affect your grade.
