21 st CCLC APR System: Updates for Entry of Spring 2015 Data Tanya Morin Gary Sumnicht Alison Wineberg January 5, 2016

Important Upcoming Dates System currently open to collect data for programming year Window for entering fall data will close on January 6, 2016 at 11:59 pm Hawaiian time Window for entering spring data will open on January 7, 2016 and close February 10, 2016

Important Change Impacting Spring Data Reporting Data entered for Spring term is now cumulative — Enter data related to entire school year — Report on activities that took place between September 2, June 12, 2015 — Do not include data related to summer programming Dates for summer and fall terms HAVE NOT changed

What information will I be reporting in the Spring? New APR system collects data related to 4 elements — Activities — Staffing — Participation — Outcomes Data reported in spring should reflect entire school year, similar to end-of-year reporting done in old PPICS system

What outcomes do I report? All WI 21 st CCLC grantees report ONLY on teacher survey results Report number of regular attendees (30+ days) who showed slight, moderate or significant improvement System requires breakdown of this data: — By grade range (PK-5 and 6-12) — By attendance (30-59 days, days, 90+ days)

How is teacher survey data reported in new system? New APR system is NOT aligned to teacher survey forms that were used in System includes only two questions related to teacher survey results — Question 1: Homework & Participation — Question 2: Student Behavior

What data points do I use to answer Outcomes questions? Outcomes Question 1 (Homework & Participation): — Report ONLY on data related to the first question on the teacher survey form — To what extent has your student changed their behavior in terms of: Turning his/her homework in on time? — DO NOT report on responses to any other questions on teacher survey

What data points do I use to answer Outcomes questions? Outcomes Question 2 (Student Behavior): — Report ONLY on data related to the seventh question on the teacher survey form — To what extent has your student changed their behavior in terms of: Behaving well in class? — DO NOT report on responses to any other questions on teacher survey

How do I know the data was submitted? To ensure data is submitted: — At end of each section, scroll down and hit “Review” key — Review data — If correct, scroll down and hit “Submit” key New APR system does not send confirmation that data was successfully submitted DPI reviews and certifies data in February

Who do I contact if I need help? If you have forgotten your password or your activation link has expired, please contact the DPI For all other questions, contact the 21 st CCLC APR System Help Desk at:

Tips for Expediting Response from Help Desk Ask only one question per . (Send as many as you need!) Be specific in the subject line Be detailed in describing your question or issue Include screenshots with your inquiry if possible

How do I make a suggestion for Improvement? help desk! Write SUGGESTION in subject line All suggestions are reviewed by Department of Education and design team on an ongoing basis.

Thank You
