THE SCHOOL “A.Pacinotti” IS SITUATED in SCAFATI (Salerno) - CAMPANIA

SCAFATI is a nice town in Campania, near Salerno, in the Agro-nocerino-sarnese with about fourtyseventhousand inhabitants. It is situated in the southern part of river Sarno valley, near the mouth of the river. There are many important industries which transform agricultural and food products and export fruit and vegetable products. The townhall was Mr.Giovanni Giacomo Meyer ’ s residence, but after his death at the biginning of the 1900 it was given to the town by his successors. It is on the river Sarno (as you can see in the photo), at the back of the photo you ca see the Villa Comunale.

The villa comunale in Scafati was built on a ground which originally had to be an orchard, it is very green and it is an ideal place for a relaxing walk S.Maria delle Vergini church is the most important church in Scafati, it is in Vittorio Veneto square. The church was built in 600 but it has got some eighteenth-century elements.On its right side there is the twentieth-century bell tower with clock.

The school "A.Pacinotti ” was born at the beginning of the 60° and it depended on the main school '"A.Volta" in Napoli. Some years later it became independent developing all the courses of study which we still have nowadays: Electrotechnics, Mechanics and Industrial Electronics. A little of history

The course of study is organized in a two-year course and a three-year course. During the two-year course the subjects studied aim to the cultural and technical formation in order to develop natural aptitudes. During the three-year course the subjects studied aim to the formation of a professional figure able to work in productive situations which can be very different and carachterized by a fast evolution both in technology and in the organization of work.

At the end of the course of study students get a diploma as Chief Technician related to the specialization course attended Job prospects Job prospects With the enrolment on the Chief Technician register the private practice can be done according to the specialization. Students can also attend every kind of university course and partecipate to competitive exams when a Diploma is requested.
