- I am yet to discuss with Steve Joy (Main Organizer) regarding this. … invite speakers from the various nations/agencies to describe their data systems and then at least one expert (possibly Bob Bentley) to discuss the issue of commonality and cross-system searches and retrieval. I'd also like to invite members of the Solar and Heliophysics communities to participate in the session and encourage them to submit papers." - Notice (a) As a part of the data management data validation procedures and methods or tools are also to be included in the description, so that we can get some good papers in this line. You may consider a solicited talk in this line, if it is convincing (b) We should include one solicited talk on IPDA activities from the chair/deputy chair (c) Talk on the upcoming planetary data standards like PDS4 is important (d) Talk from Virtual Observatory data management aspects can be thought of (e) Unification in the data exploitation possibility can be thought of as a future idea, though currently protocols are built for this and IPDA may be coming with more standards (f) You may think of a solicited talk on ancillary data standards and management (or add in the session description), though SPICE is currently catering to this, more unification may be required. (g) I am not aware about the data standards of Solar and Heliophysics communities, Astronomy data is stored in different formats and standards, can this be part of our session? If so you may consider this part also in the session. 39 th COSPAR: 2012 From July 2010 to Sep 2011 We should ask the update of Steve / Gopala.
