Journeying in Parallel Chris Wagstaff

School background  School of Health Sciences offers pre-registration courses at diploma level (1 intake of 40 per year) and degree level (1 intake of 107 students every year).  Plus Bsc in physiotherapy, Msc in Physiotherapy, Msc in Health Science & PHD students  The School has one centre centrally located on campus  Students undertake clinical placements in Birmingham & Solihull Mental Health Trust, the voluntary sector or the private sector.

Entry requirements  At least 17-and-a-half-years old  Five subjects at GCSE grades A-C (including an English, Maths & a Science)  3 A-Levels (B,C,C)  Or BTEC or Access Course  Medically fit and CRB clearance.  All short listed candidates are interviewed.

Introduction to programme  Common Foundation Programme;  Branch choice end of 1 st year;  Child, Adult, Mental Health;  Joint modules;  Overseas elective;  2,300 hours clinical/ taught.
