This can be taken any year, but must be in addition to our other requirements (i.e. AP Math junior year does not count as an AP elective as it fulfills the math requirement).

AP Capstone Program AP Capstone is a new program from the College Board designed to complement and enhance the discipline-specific AP courses already in existence. It’s built on two new courses – AP Seminar and AP Research – that foster the critical and creative thinking, argumentation and research skills necessary for college readiness and essential for lifelong learning Courses are designed to teach students to: Think critically and creatively to construct meaning or gain understanding Plan and conduct a study or investigation Propose solutions to real-world problems Plan and produce communications in various forms Collaborate to solve a problem Integrate, synthesize, and make cross-curricular connections

AP Capstone Diploma All Academy students have the opportunity to earn the AP Capstone Diploma and/or the AP Seminar and Research Certificate. Two required courses – AP Seminar and AP Research – must be taken and the AP exams passed to qualify for the AP Seminar and Research Certificate.
