Essential Question  What political and social changes took place after WWI and through the 1920s?  I will explain the issues that troubled Americans during the 20s and how post war developments helped tackle them.

1920s and Great Depression  Mid-Term Dates(December 16,17,18)  Key Terms Today: Anarchists, Communists, Sacco and Vanzetti, Nativism, Quota System, Rosewood Incident, Normalcy, Red Scare.

Americans Struggle with Postwar Issues  WWI ended. Americans struggle to rebuild broken lives and can no longer be silenced.  A desire for “normalcy” (getting back to normal life after the war) and a fear of communism and “foreigners” led to postwar isolationism (America was staying to itself).  Turn to Page 412.
