Americans Struggle with Postwar Issues  WWI ended. Americans struggle to rebuild broken lives and can no longer be silenced.  A desire for “normalcy” (getting back to normal life after the war) and a fear of communism and “foreigners” led to postwar isolationism (America was staying to itself).  Turn to Page 412.
