BUILDING STRONG ® IHNC Lock Dewatering 2016 Contingency plans for late high river and/or interruption of work by hurricanes ► Scenario 1: River recedes by 1-31 Aug: Perform full scope of work ► Scenario 2: River recedes not before 1 Sep, or work interrupted by hurricanes: Replace canal end gates and operating machinery for all 4 gates (70 day work duration) Defer river end gate replacement to 2017 low water (60 day work duration) ► Scenario 3: River remains >6 ft. beyond 30 Sep Defer dewatering to 2017 low water Hurricane contingencies include USCG approved mooring plan for floating plant to be secured within the IHNC - Regulated Navigation Area. 22
