KDHE Outreach to Small and Rural Communities Brownfields 2004 Conference

KDHE’s Outreach Efforts 2002 initial efforts: Mailed invitations to municipal leaders to meet “face-to-face” with KDHE staff to discuss the program Arranged meetings at 15 locations across the state Audiences from 2-15 people attended each meeting

KDHE’s Outreach Efforts 2003 Outreach Efforts: Partnered with Kansas State University’s Technical Assistance for Brownfields Program and Terracon. Conducted four one-day long workshops in four communities in Kansas. 66 Individuals representing several communities and economic development agencies attended.
