Log in to the LINCWorks RDA or VAN Connect the to unit’s Wifi Open a browser and navigate to Login to the unit – The default password is to leave it blank – If changed please contact your LINCWorks reseller or IT professional 9/4/2014Olea Networks Confidential
Go to the Wifi page Scroll over the Networks tab and select Wifi 9/4/2014Olea Networks Confidential
Edit the SSID Select ‘Edit’ next to your SSID 9/4/2014Olea Networks Confidential
Change the power Click the dropdown next to Transmit power and change as desired Scroll down and click ‘Save and Apply’ 9/4/2014Olea Networks Confidential
Note Turning up the transmit power can cause extra issues such as Wifi saturation Increased transmit power will decrease battery life in the RDA Many times if a device is having trouble receiving signal from the RDA, it is an issue with the antenna in the device rather than the RDA – Example: Many scanners and tablets have low power antennas so even though the RDAs signal is reaching the tablet, the tablet’s transmit antenna is not strong enough to create a two-way connection To solve this issue, add an extra access point such as a second RDA or VAN which can mesh back to the original 9/4/2014Olea Networks Confidential
