Fiber Arts Traditionally used from plants and animals, such as silk, wool, and cotton. Now, synthetic (or fake) fibers like plastic are used as well. Fibers are spun in to yarn, then woven in to fabric.

Fiber Arts s, artists wove tapestries instead of making paintings to hang on walls in Europe. Runaway slaves used quilts to spread messages about the Underground Railroad. The middle east is known for their rugs’ complex designs and patterns.

Weaving Weaving uses an AB pattern. You can weave with any material, including grass, sticks, metals, and more. Yarn is typically woven on a loom to create yards of fabric.
