Welcome to the Purple Team

Catching Connections Battle of the Books A reading incentive program created to involve students and staff in becoming lifelong readers and learners. The battle (challenge) is reading as many books as they can, while earning victories (incentives). The program is tiered and offers incentives to students as they attain new levels.

Catching Connections Battle of the Books

Contacting the Purple Team Teachers can be contacted individually during their prep from 12:10 – 12:50. Homework/Grades All Purple Team teachers will be recording a zero for any missing work, including work that is missing due to absence. If an * is recorded, it means that your student has been exempted from that particular task.

Absent from School Homework may be requested on the third day of absence. Homework requests MUST go through the guidance office. Daily Homework and Announcements can be viewed at

On the THIRD tardy, students receive a discipline slip. Discipline

Students who reach level 3 will be asked to have a parent accompany them to any field trips or team celebrations. Students who receive two or more discipline slips during the school year will not be invited to end of the year school pizza party.

School Fundraiser Students will bring information home tomorrow. In order to participate they will need to return a permission slip this week. $1.00 Candy Bar Sale 60 candy bars in a box Candy bars come with a Chick-fil-a coupon Money and unsold candy bars will be due on September 10 th. Prizes are available for selling candy bars. Prizes begin at one case. See flyer for details.

Field Trip and Team Activities Thursday, December 6 th the Purple Team will be traveling to IRT to see A Christmas Carol. (Information will be sent home early October.) A visit from Snakehead Ed The Griot Drum Group
