All About chameleons  My animal is the chameleon. The chameleon is an expert climber. This is my favorite thing about chameleons the have a special ability that allows them to change there color with there surroundings.

What Kind of Animal Is a chameleon?  The chameleon is a invertebrate because it lays eggs and is not a mammal. The chameleon is a lizard.

Where a chameleon Lives  A chameleon lives in a land habitat. The chameleon lives in forests.

What a chameleon Likes To Eat  The chameleon is a carnivore and eats bugs. The chameleons special eyes magnify things making it easier to catch food.

A chameleons Early Stages of Life  The chameleon when its born the parents aren't there to teach them what to do but there like a miniature version of there parents they have legs for running, claws for gripping, and a tail for balance.

How a chameleon Survives  The chameleon survives easily because it can change its color to match its surroundings thus hiding it from predators. The chameleon also has a long tongue making it easier to catch prey. Its eyes help it survive as well when there's prey that can easily run away the chameleon can focus on its prey and zoom in with its eyes.

More Interesting Facts About chameleons  The chameleon has a very long tongue.It also has eyes that can zoom in on prey. Chameleons change color when they are excited, sleepy, or cold, or when they want to show off. Chameleons have special feet that clamp tight to branches. Chameleons have prehensile tails to curl around things for extra grip. A chameleon can live from five, ten, or even twenty years.
