Biomass Energy By, Maddie Lane

Description of Biomass Biomass is the energy from plant material, and vegetation.

History of Biomass Energy Biomass satisfied nearly nearly all of man’s energy demands. Up until the 1860s, the United States used biomass, in the form of wood, for nearly 91% of all energy consumption. In 1992 biomass generated $1.8 billion in personal corperate income and employed 66,000 workers. Most energy requirements today are fulfilled by fossil fuels. However, 14% of the world still uses biomass renewable energy.

Where is Biomass Energy found? Biomass energy is found in plant matter.

How is biomass stored and released? To release the biomass energy you burn the biomass sources such as trees, plants, energy crops.. The biomass energy is stored solar energy. Through photosynthesis, the energy from the sun is stored in the chemical bonds of plant material.

Advantages/disadvantages of biomass

Economic impacts, future of the energy source

Interesting facts about biomass renewable energy.
