How to facilitate the publication of more reproducible data-rich research papers?

What do funders want?  MAXIMISE THE VALUE OF DATA OUTPUTS  What are we doing about it and how effective has that been?

So what now? CREATE AN ENABLING CULTURE FOR DATA ACCESS need appropriate incentives for researchers who generate high quality datasets and make these accessible to others Funders can provide grants, journals can publish outputs but what is missing?

What needs to change? HOW WE RECOGNISE VALUE OF DATA IN REF a critical factor in driving incentive cultures in Universities a widespread view that data outputs are not given any serious value in the context of career advancement decisions in institutions only 11 per cent of survey respondents felt data was recognised to some extent, relative to publications data managers have an increasingly vital role as members of research teams, but are often afforded a low status and few career progression opportunities

The future?
