Rationale The WIA performance reporting system, including the WIASRD layout, was up for renewal under the Paperwork Reduction Act Legislative changes in programs for veterans Streamline file upload, report generation, and data validation process Begin integration of the general layouts and coding schemes into a common format OIG and GAO audits seeking additional information and improved data collection 3

Changes to Current Data Elements Equal Opportunity Information – Additional code added to indicate individual did not wish to disclose or self-identify Highest School Grade Completed (WIASRD #410) and School Status at Participation (WIASRD #411) now required for all service levels and populations, respectively Reporting partner program participation now required for multiple programs 10
New Variables that Will Cause Upload Reject Errors if Missing States are not expected to “back collect” information All new information should be for participants beginning after 1/1/2014 The upload edit checks that will lead to reject errors will become effective for the new variables on 1/1/2014 – This includes information that was previously collected but not for core services only – Warning messages in many cases will still be generated 11
