WHY IS PUBLIC SPEAKING IMPORTANT? It’s a universal skill You’ll publically speak at least once in your lifetime (Presentations, acceptance speeches, wedding toasts, etc.) Jobs look for it! Having good public speaking skills can open doors, having poor public speaking skills can close them. Allows you to demonstrate and improve your knowledge Share what you know! By repeating the information to others in a presentation or speech can improve your knowledge. Makes your more comfortable around others Less awkward, more open and comfortable. Boosts your self-confidence Increases your skill at communicating with others.
