Grammar notes I already explained you about STATIVE PASSIVE they describe a situation or state. They do not come from an active voice. Identify them because normally you would use the verbs: relate, compose, connect, affect, locate, for example This class was related to the class of last month. An organ system is composed of several organs with different functions working together. Guayaquil is connected to La Puntilla through a bridge. Constantinople was located in what today is Turkey.

Now you also need to know that you can report ideas or opinions, and you normally would use the verbs say, think, believe and allege (they all mean the same). They come from active voices where the adjective clause that is use to explain information of an object. For example:

Scientists say (that) there were probably bacteria in Mars. Scientists think(that) there were probably bacteria in Mars. Scientists believe (that) there were probably bacteria in Mars. Scientists allege (that) there were probably bacteria in Mars. Its is said (by scientists) (that) there were probably bacteria in Mars. Its is think (by scientists) (that) there were probably bacteria in Mars. Its is believe (by scientists) (that) there were probably bacteria in Mars. Its is allege (by scientists) (that) there were probably bacteria in Mars. ACTIVE VOICE PASSIVE VOICE
