 This month’s value: Courage  Doing what we know is the right thing- even when it is very difficult. Music: Beethoven - Piano Concerto No.5 2nd movement

How does this runner show great courage? Running the race…

He doesn’t give up! Running the race…

Ruth – a different story of courage In the Bible, one of Jesus' human ancestors was Ruth – a Moabite lady

A terrible famine struck the land of Israel.

One man, Elimelech, left Bethlehem with his wife, Naomi and two sons, looking for food. He went to Moab.

- One of his sons married Ruth His sons married women from Moab

Disaster struck Elimelech and his family in Moab. He died, followed by his two sons.

Orphah went back to her own family -but Ruth refused to desert Naomi. Ruth showed great courage and travelled with Naomi to the land of Israel.

They needed food to eat. Every day Ruth followed the harvesters in the field and picked up the left-over grain.

Will you show Courage today?

Here in our school Let us be peaceful at all times. Let our rooms be full of happiness and respect for each other. Let love be in our hearts With kindness and compassion for all. Let us remember In learning together, We grow together And succeed together. A prayer for all of us

A quiet moment of prayer or reflection... Courage

As we reflect, think about how Courage makes the world a better place to be.
