Flagging ACO Patients Log into CMP website to get a PDF document of your prospective list of ACO patients These are the pts who will show up in next years audit, so by knowing who these pts are this year we have a better chance of improving quality, thus sharing in savings By adding the flag to the patients charts you are able to ensure that they receive their Annual Wellness Visit this year and all necessary screenings *Annual Wellness Visit for 65+ is a new measure to the CI plan this year

EPCS Deadline to implement is March 27 th 2016 Official New York State Prescription forms may ONLY be used in the event of a power outage or technical failure

Steps to get set up for EPCS First, the software you currently use must meet all the federal security requirements for EPCS Second, you must complete the identity proofing process as defined in the federal requirements. Third, you must obtain a two-factor authentication as defined in the federal requirements. Fourth, you must register your DEA certified EPCS software with the Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement (BNE)

Steps to follow in AC Schedule an appointment with Guardian Angel Support to assist you with updating to Amazing Charts version which is required for EPCS You must register with NewCrop for prescribing controlled substances. As mandated by DEA, you must undergo “identity proofing,” a process utilizing personal information only known to that individual, such as details of mortgages or credit reports Download the Client EPCS Registration Guide and follow the directions to complete the registration

Steps continued Once you have completed your Newcrop registration and two-factor authentication you must then register online for NY State EPCS via ROPES no later than 2/27 to allow sufficient processing time. Download the EPCS NYS Registration Guide and follow the instructions to register with ROPES Once you have completed your Verizon identity proofing; confirmed your identity and authorized EPCS privileges with NewCrop, completed your registration for NY State EPCS via ROPES and have been updated to release you are now enabled to prescribe controlled medications electronically

Steps continued The last remaining step is for Amazing Charts to verify your grant status and activate you with NewCrop. We will do this as the final step in your update however, that is dependent upon you completing the other tasks prior to the update. If you do the update BEFORE completing the other steps you just need to log a ticket with Support and they will activate you.

Direct Messaging Why is it called a Direct message? Direct messages are messages sent via one Direct address to another Direct address. It differs from regular because of the additional security layers to help keep patient information from reaching fake or incorrect people, or being intercepted. A Direct address is automatically created for any Amazing Charts user who was created from within Amazing Charts or mapped from Updox. You can view your Direct address in the Admin Portal and Direct Messaging Activate/Deactivate Users screen. You will need to communicate this secure address to other providers that want to send transfer of care documents to your office.
